Annual SES Big Lunch Supported Employment Awareness Day 2025
Tuesday 3rd June 2025, Belfast City Hall
To mark Supported Employment Awareness Day 2025, the Supported Employment Solutions (SES) consortium hosted their celebratory Annual Big Lunch on Tuesday 3rd June 2025 at Belfast City Hall.
The event celebrated a new four-year chapter of the Workable NI Programme, funded by the Department for Communities, which provides employment retention support for people with disabilities and health conditions.
The SES consortium is a partnership of seven specialist organisations – Action Mental Health, AdaptNI, RNIB, Mencap, NOW Group, Orchardville, and Cedar Foundation – who deliver a person-centred, supported employment approach across Northern Ireland.
Each partner in the consortium offers specialist tailored support to individuals and their employers to help people with disabilities remain in work, overcome challenges, and build inclusive, accessible workplaces.
The Annual Big Lunch brought together programme participants, employers, and key stakeholders to celebrate achievements, share experiences, and promote the positive impact of supported employment.
All enjoyed a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, with a picnic on the front lawn of City Hall. It was lovely to hear directly from participants and employers about their supported employment journey.
Photos of the day were taken by Kathleen Mimnagh, who works for MENCAP.
